Michael Drendel has over ten years of investment banking experience, having executed mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, minority growth equity investments, public equity offerings, and bank and bond financings.

Prior to joining Lazard Middle Market, Mr. Drendel was a vice president in the healthcare investment banking group at Wachovia Securities working on a variety of advisory and corporate finance transactions in both the healthcare services and pharmaceuticals segments. He previously worked at Lincoln International and VineStreet Partners, two boutique investment banks focused on providing M&A and capital raising advice to middle market companies. Mr. Drendel started his career with KPMG, spending three years providing audit and financial due diligence advisory services.

Mr. Drendel received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Notre Dame.
